The Traffic Administration within Region Stockholm is responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring a long-term sustainable public transport system for the region's residents and visitors. Within the investment operations, one of Stockholm's most strategic infrastructure projects is currently underway – the Roslagsbanan to the city. The project involves an extension of the Roslagsbanan in a tunnel from the University via Odenplan to T-Centralen and aims to increase accessibility, higher capacity, and a more reliable public transport system. The assignment is conducted in a complex environment with many stakeholders and high demands for quality, structure, and collaboration.
Your tasks 🧭In the role of Planning Coordinator, you are responsible for driving and coordinating the work with the project's railway plan throughout the formal planning process. You ensure that the planning work is well integrated with the design and plan and conduct consultations within the planning process. The role involves close collaboration with the affected municipalities to coordinate railway plans and detailed planning processes, as well as participation in work related to agreements, land access, and stakeholder management related to planning. You lead the dialogue with consultants, ensure that the necessary documentation is delivered with the right quality and on time, identify the need for supplementary investigations, and coordinate planning and permit issues together with the permit coordinator. Furthermore, you prepare information and decision-making materials, contribute to scheduling, and actively participate in the project's meeting structure.
Expected Deliverables 📑Quality-assured railway plan with accompanying documents according to applicable legislation
Clear coordination between planning processes, design, and municipal detailed plans
Structured decision-making and information materials, presentations, and investigations
Effective and transparent stakeholder management within the planning
Solid experience in planning within larger infrastructure or community development projects
Good knowledge of the railway planning process and relevant legislation
Experience working in complex project environments with many stakeholders
Ability to coordinate technical, legal, and organizational perspectives
Experience from client organizations and working with consultants and authorities is an advantage
Communicative and collaborative
Structured, responsible, and solution-oriented
Builds trust in dialogue with internal and external parties
Works in line with the Traffic Administration's values of openness, competence, reliability, and collaboration
Location: Stockholm, Kungsholmen, with the possibility of remote work, at least 60% on-site presence
Scope: Initially about 20 hours per week, expanding to 40 hours per week by Q2 2026
Period: January 19, 2026 – December 31, 2027
Extension: Option for 1+1+1+1 years
